Each client is unique. GMR
Design understands this and looks at each project at
both the macro and micro level. I partner with each of my
clients to establish what the specific communication needs
are and how to best provide solutions.
I do this in specific steps:
Define the Project
I work closely with my client in this initial stage to define
precisely what the goals and the challenges are. What is the
intended image and how is it to be communicated? Who is the
target audience? How is the site to function? What are the
desired results?
Conceptual Development
What will the project look like? What sort of images, copy
and other content are to be utilized? At this stage I begin
to develop ideas for the visual style and site architecture,
as well as the form of the project. Will it be an HTML site?
A Flash site? An ecommerce site? Will it require any data
driven or other specific applications? Are there any specific
illustration and/or copywriting requirements to be addressed?
All Internet marketing and search engine optimization considerations
are thoroughly examined.
It is at this point that the budget and
timeline for the project are established.
Design Development
At this stage a 'comp', or visual mockup of the site is designed,
utilizing all of the established elements and requirements.
It is then presented to the client for approval and/or revisions.
Alternatives may be submitted.
Production
Upon approval, the site is actually 'built', utilizing HTML
or Flash coding. All necessary visual images are created and
processed and incorporated into the site. All copy is included.
Any 'back end' applications are integrated. Search engine
keywords and other marketing devices are employed.
Testing
The site is beta tested both off line and on line, and cross
platform tested to discover and work out any potential bugs.
Launch
Upon final approval the site is posted onto the web server
and launched.
